Exotic Pet Care

Exotic pets have specific needs and requirements. This page explains how and what types of exotic pets I am ready to take care of.

Specialized Care for Exotic & Small Animals

While many sitters focus solely on dogs and cats, I recognize that exotic pets require a unique level of expertise and a meticulous eye for detail. Whether you share your home with a scaled, feathered, or pocket-sized companion, I provide specialized care tailored to the specific biological needs of your pet. From maintaining precise habitat variables to understanding specialized diets, I ensure that your exotic family members thrive in their routine, even while you are away.

Habitat Management & Technical Precision

I understand that for many exotic species, the environment is their lifeline. My service goes beyond basic feeding; I am experienced in monitoring and maintaining critical habitat requirements, including temperature gradients, humidity levels, and specialized lighting cycles (UVB/UVA). Whether it’s misting a tropical terrarium, checking heat mat functionality for a reptile, or ensuring the water quality in an aquatic setup, I treat your pet’s ecosystem with the technical precision it demands.

Nutrition, Hygiene, and Enrichment

Exotic pets often require complex diets that go far beyond a standard kibble. I am comfortable handling and preparing a variety of specialized meals, including fresh chop for parrots, gut-loaded insects for insectivores, and specific hay rotations for small mammals. Additionally, I prioritize hygiene and mental stimulation. My visits include meticulous spot-cleaning of enclosures to prevent respiratory issues and providing species-appropriate enrichment—such as foraging opportunities for rabbits or social interaction for birds—to ensure their emotional well-being.
